Our main hero is a little boy whose mom just rented a new video game. And the whole point is actually firing at ducks appearing on his computer screen. But the more you play the more you realize not everything is so simple here…
This game is a return to the golden era of our childhood. The story is told from the first person perspective and has multiple alternate endings depending on your choices. The whole set of events unfolds through the course of a single day and gradually the imagination of the protagonists begins to add horror twists to the seemingly innocent environment. Between the gameplay sessions, you can get to know your lore better – look around the room, rummage among the stuff lying here and there, see how you can interact with it. Some of these elements will look out of place and later you’ll be able to put these clues together to figure out what’s happening to you, either for real or in your teenage head. You notice little strange details that start making sense as you delve deeper and deeper into the storyline. Until you reach the conclusion that the Duck Season cartridge is actually cursed and is the very thing causing all these anomalies. What are you going to do about it? That’s where the decision making component comes into play. Based on your actions, the plot can take either of the possible turns.
